QUESTIONS?

See if the answer is here:

Q: Do you guarantee the accuracy of what you write?

A: I do thorough research on each blog post I write. My sources are state law websites, other government sources, and .org websites. I do not use Wikipedia or a competitors website as anything more than a starting point. Since I write for clients who do not always live in the same state as me, I cannot be 100% certain that something has not changed between when my source was written and when I write my content. Though I use the most recent sources I can find, things may change quickly. Therefore, although I always believe my content to be accurate, clients should always read through it and ensure that everything is accurate for their state's laws, rules, and regulations. To date, I have never had a client inform me that I have provided outdated or inaccurate information.

Q: Will you reuse content you write for us for other clients?

A: I do have packages (starter packages) that are designed for clients who are just starting out and need to get content up quickly that can be reused by multiple clients. This content is fill-in-the-blank content that allows a client to quickly populate their site with content that shows their expertise. If you purchase one of these packages, then the content is reused, though changed slightly, for each client. However, these packages are clearly marked as such. If you purchase any of my other packages, you are purchasing customized content that will be created especially for you and never reused for another client. It may be used as a sample to show my work to other potential clients, but only with your permission.

Q: Do we have to put your name on the blog posts as the author?

A: That is your choice. If you want to put my name on it, I'm happy to give you my byline and a short bio. If you want to use your own name or that of someone on your team, I am happy to ghostwrite the content. I always assume I am ghostwriting unless the client specifies otherwise. There is no difference in price for using my name vs. putting your own name on the content.

Q: How long will it take to get content from you?

A: This depends on the package you choose and how you choose to have it delivered. In most cases, my turnaround time is a minimum of two weeks. The more content you are purchasing, the longer the turnaround time may be.

Q: How far in advance do we need to request content?

A: Again, this answer depends greatly on the package you choose, how you choose to have it delivered (all at once, spaced out, in batches, etc.), and the topics being covered. Although the minimum turnaround time is two weeks, I recommend clients plan that they will not be able to post content for at least one month after the request has been placed. To avoid being without content, I suggest allowing at least 6 weeks lead time. This will ensure that there is ample time for me to create the content and for you to request any revisions, if necessary, before the date you plan to post the content. If you need content for a specific purpose by a specific date (holiday content, content explaining a new law or rule, etc.), I suggest submitting your request 8-12 weeks before your deadline to ensure it's ready in time.

Q: What if we don't have a specific topic to write about? Can we just let you choose?

A: One of the perks of my service is that I have a list of blog post content you can choose from - or I can choose for you! If you aren't sure what topics you want covered, or are just not sure where to start, I can offer suggestions or simply choose a topic that would apply to your business. I've had several clients who have been so pleased with the results of my choices that they no longer make specific topic requests and simply allow me to choose for them. But you will always have the option of assigning a specific topic, choosing from my list, or asking me to select a topic for you. You can also mix-and-match by providing some topics you want covered and having me choose for other posts.

!Q: Do you write in a very formal style or a more conversational style or something else?

A: I can write in whatever style you'd prefer. If your website and speaking-style is formal, I can ensure that your blog posts reflect that. If you'd prefer a more conversational, "chatting with a friend" style, I can do that as well. If you'd prefer something in between, I'm happy to provide that. Because these blog posts are meant to help you convert readers into clients, I do promise that each blog post will be written in a way that is easy for anyone to understand. I break down any confusing terms into more easily understood terms and don't add any extra "fluff" that might confuse things.

Q: What if we manage property in more than one state (or in different areas with different rules and laws)?

A: I've worked with clients who practice in multiple states. I will research each topic in each state where you practice. In cases where the laws and rules are different in different states, I'll reach out and we'll discuss how you'd like me to proceed. Some clients prefer I focus on a specific state, while others want me to provide some general information and use the post to direct readers to contact the property management company directly for more detailed information.

Q: I have another question not answered here.

A: No problem! Just send me an email at wendy at writewithwendy.com with your question. I'll get back to you within 24 hours Monday-Friday, and 48-72 hours on weekends and holidays.
